Methodology of the aids and where they can go wrong.
How the riders position affects the horse.
3) Common
position faults of the rider.
Afternoon
4) Assessment
of rider horse combinations on the flat (dressage) in the
ménage.
5) Discussion
on how to make corrections using the principals of
Pilates and exercises
Day 2 - Equilates and the
Jumping seat
Morning
1) Equitation:
The
different sports within the equestrian world.
How do we train the horse and rider to jump.
Methodology of the aids for jumping and where they go wrong.
How the riders position affects how the horse jump.
Stability in the saddle and safety.
2) Common
position faults of the rider over fences.
Afternoon
3) Assessment
of rider horse combinations over fences.
4) Discussion
on how to make corrections using the principals of Pilates and
exercises
Day 3
1) Biomechanics
of the horse.
2) How
we train the horse to engage his core using lateral movements.
3) How
we can use Pilates to enhance the training process for both the
horse and rider.
Assessment:
Assessment of
rider noting position faults and weakness. Discus how they
affect the horse and write a 12 week program to correct
irregularities using the Equilates Training Protocol.
