LEVEL 3 CYQ

Feedback from our CYQ 12 day course.

“PTS has turned out to be exactly what it says: A solution for me to become a Level 3 Matwork Pilates instructor.

Armed with a few years of practicing Pilates with my wife, but no Anatomy & Physiology knowledge at all, I have achieved my target in 14 months – This included 10 months self study using the “Health & Fitness Handbook” as recommended by PTS prior to the first course.

Claire & Belinda (Both very pleasant indeed), have amassed a wealth of teaching techniques, and are both very highly qualified to teach this course.

It is run at a very manageable pace with clear and concise instruction, supported by some good study notes and the necessary documentation to achieve the recognised CYQ qualification and certification. It is not easy – It can be failed, but with hard work it is very possible – I am proof at 48yrs.

They are always contactable by phone or email, when support is required, and I have no hesitation in recommending them for their teachings of Clinical Pilates.”

I am that person that started from scratch, so where shall I begin?, well I have just covered 5 classes in the past 7 days and I qualified as a level 3 teacher (with absolutely no previous industry experience, I didn't even like Biology at school) as my level 3 certification shows on 6.2.2010, it is possible to achieve this and its all down to self belief and hard work, you will be more than equipped in all the knowledge that you need to complete the qualification from P.T.S however it is ultimately down to commitment, focus, understanding, dedication, discipline and as I found good time management planning and being honest and asking any questions (no matter how insignificant you feel that are) to either Belinda or Claire.

I have attended Yoga, and Pilate's classes for a few years and decided in March 09 (at the age of 41) that I wanted to become a Pilate's Teacher, I looked at a few companies and rang for info, however once I rang P.T.S and spoke to Belinda (who readily answered any questions and concerns I had) I knew these were the people for me, lets say its female intuition.

I began my stage 1 at the end of May 09 and completed my stage 2 the first week of August, I had my final practical assessment on the 11th Dec and I did have to retake my theory exam again (I found these the most challenging) however by revising more I feel personally that I have benefited with a wealth of knowledge in Anatomy and Physiology.

I have 2 part time jobs,a home to run and an 11 going on 21 year old son to organise, I also like my "me" time and value family days, holidays and activities, I found with this course spread out over the time scale I decided to take I did not have to eat, sleep or breathe Pilate's to complete the course, although if you are able to discipline yourself and pick those books up before you begin the course you would be very wise to do so, especially if you have no previous A and P experience, like me.
If you are able to teach (within a qualified teachers presence and with permission) as I did a couple of times it would definitely help, the first time I did I sounded like little voice and could feel my stomach rising up into my mouth, it does get easier though. do not worry about whom else is on the course with you, never feel intimidated by others qualifications or experience (we all have to start somewhere) you should be encouraged to learn from their backgrounds (and cherry pick from them) remember the reasons why you are on the course and what you will ultimately achieve.

I am so proud of myself for what I have achieved and I love teaching Pilate's (although I have more to learn still) after my first recent teaching class as a qualified teacher I had fantastic comments from my class, specifically a former dancer and fitness instructor who said " I'm so glad we have been taught proper classical pilates today none of this fitness pilates stuff" and no one knew this was my first time teaching alone...remember "perception is projection".

Thank you Belinda and Claire, I definitely chose the best people for the job and looking forward to seeing you all in 3 weeks at the small equipment course.

Kindest thoughts and regards to all,

Tracy Bryan, ashtontr8cy@aol.com

Wow! What a fabulous course! Claire and Belinda, you make a formidable and fantastic duo in teaching the Pilates Level 3 – thank you! The course covers a huge range of information from getting the best out of your clients using psychosocial methods, to the detailed workings of the spine and the various pathologies that can be presented. With the most up to date research findings, this course really is at the forefront of Pilates knowledge; meaning that as an instructor you can offer your clients the most effective and safe training methods. At no point will you be bored though - this course is inspirationally and passionately delivered by Belinda and Claire, with the perfect balance of theory and practice. And, unlike many fitness courses, you are treated as a friend and equal where everybody’s experiences count. The Pilates Training Solutions course will no doubt leave you on a high, with the desire to teach everyone and anyone you meet about Pilates and the amazing effects it can have upon their bodies!

I thoroughly enjoyed studying with Pilates Training Solutions and sad to see the course come to an end! Both Belinda and Claire have been great 'educators' and a real inspiration. Thank you! I only hope that I can carry on their legacy with as much passion, dedication and enthusiasm as they have shown.

Hello Ladies!
I know we will see you again at the end of this week, but I felt compelled to thank you for the wonderful, inspirational, educational training that we have thus far received.
A million thanks, I am learning so much and enjoying every minute of it! My goodness you ladies are FAB!
See you soon,

Hello Belinda and Claire
Thank you for presenting such a great course. I have learnt a great deal, and i will continue to do so. I love pilates and the way we teach it. I have covered a few classes, and thankfully they have gone down very well, so i will be starting my own at the ymca in late September.
As i mentioned to Belinda prior to the course i managed to get the job of the west ham utd ladies first team fitness coach. I use the pilates moves as part of active recovery between sprint work. In 3 months we have seen some fantastic improvements with the girls, in terms of posture ,balance, strength -you name it, and its mainly down to good old pilates - it works - we have played 6 and won 6 since i started, so there you go.
Finally i look forward to seeing you in mid October with my client ( my sister ).
Many, many thanks

Roy Nixon.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to both Claire and Belinda for developing and running such a brilliant Pilates course.  When I decided to up-date my Pilates skills, I looked at quite a few Pilates courses, before deciding to do my course with Pilates Training Solutions.  From the start, I found both Claire and Belinda friendly, knowledgeable and genuine, and the fact that they are both from an academic background in Sports Science and Osteopathy reassured me that this was definitely a genuine course - with no gimmicks!
I joined Claire and Belinda at Club LaSanta, in Lanzarote to do my Level 3 in February 2007 and what a brilliant week that was.  There I was, in very pleasant, sunny surroundings, on a Pilates course in Lanzarote, with a 12 other like-minded people, and I found the course content informative, educational and really enjoyable.   The course has increased my knowledge and awareness of the body and the muscles that are used in Pilates - and I feel that my confidence in my teaching skills has also improved as a result of the training I've received (all of which I will pass on to my class participants).  I can honestly say that PTS is definitely one of the best couses I have done in a long time, and I would recommend this course to anyone who is serious about training to become a Pilates Instructor - this course is a MUST!  I'm already looking forward to doing more training courses with you in the future.

"As ever Pilates Training Solutions have met and exceeded expectations.  Belinda and Claire understand the needs of each student - we all learn in a very individual way and this is reflected in the delivery of their work.  The level 3 course is well written and comprehensive, exceeding the requirements laid down by CYQ/Skills active.  The depth of knowledge reinforces the principles of Pilates and truly makes sense of the why and how of what we do."

Claire Barker-Hemings

The course was very informative, lots of spine, CNS & Postural Analysis info which was very interesting and is already proving to be useful with my clients. Although there is a huge amount of work, time & effort required to complete the post-course work but the end result is well worth it!

LEVEL 2 OCR

Feedback from our OCR 5 day course.

This course is excellent. It has helped to fill some large holes in my exercise rehabilitation knowledge. And will also bring a very welcome break from the usual daily routine in practice. Belinda and Claire are both quailifed to the highest level in both theory and practice. They are professional, knowledgeable and above all FUN! I would recomend this course to anyone.

Dear Claire and Belinda

I just wanted to let you know that, thanks to your effective training, I have done my first paid work as a Pilates Instructor!
My local leisure centre asked if I could cover 4 classes this week. - I did it but it still feels a bit unreal.
As it has been something I have wanted to do for quite a long time now it's hard to believe it's actually happened!
The classes presented quite a few challenges - newcomers, veterans, injuries all in one hit and, as you know, 15 is too many people to try and keep an eye on but I think I did a reasonable job.
Of course I didn't let on that I was newly qualified but I received quite a few positive comments from the participants afterwards and some left me their contact details as they wanted to know about my own classes (which I have yet to get organised).
I'm really thrilled I have made it this far but am keen to keep practicing and learning as I want to get really proficient.
So thank you both for providing me with my 'training solution'.

Regards

Frances

"Pilates Training Solutions courses provide a solid foundation for anyone desiring to teach Pilates.  It has empowered me to not only understand, but also properly feel the moves and to teach them in such a way that client’s age 15 to 50 have been able to embrace and benefit from my classes.  I have been very successful marketing my one-to-one sessions as postural realignment to media staff at the private gym I manage.   The instructors, Claire and Belinda, have been extremely helpful from the beginning and continue to provide assistance months later with any questions and concerns I have working with clients.  I did my training in Spain and appreciated the extra time we had to relax and absorb the material.  I would highly recommend it!"
